On April 2nd Thalapathy Vijay started his official Instagram account and got a mammoth 5.5 million followers in two days. He smashed the record for the fasted Indian to get to 1 million followers and the third in the world after Kim Taehyung (Korean pop artist of the world-famous BTS band) who gained 1M followers in 43 minutes and Angelina Jolie (Hollywood actress) who gained 1M followers in 59 minutes.

It has now come to light that the first celebrity to follow Thalapathy Vijay on Instagram is none other than our own Keerthy Suresh. It is said that she hit the follow button within seconds of the mass hero's Insta page went live and once again proved what a diehard fan she is.

Thalapathy Vijay will begin the next schedule of shooting for 'Leo' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and costarring Trisha from April 5th onwards in Chennai. Keerthy on the other hand is fresh from delivering the super hit 'Dasara' costarring Nani. Her upcoming movies include 'Siren' with Jayam Ravi, Mari Selvaraj's 'Maamannan' and the female centric films 'Raghu Thatha' and 'Revolver Rita'.
