Veteran actress Kavitha's son passes away, husband in critical condition

Veteran actress Kavitha has acted in over 350 films in all South Indian languages ever since she made her debut at the age of 11 in 'O Manju' in Tamil and 'Siri Siri Muvva' in Telugu which was released simultaneously in 1976.
In recent times Kavitha has played character roles especially mother to heroes and heroines in hundreds of films. She has also acted in popular television serials 'Nandhini' and the currently running 'Endrendrum Punnagai'.
Kavitha is one of the senior actors who stopped working in films and serials during the first wave of COVID 19 pandemic and continued the policy till now. But unfortunately, both her husband Dhasathararaj and son Sai Roop were infected and became seriously ill.
Both of them were admitted in a private hospital in Chennai in the ICU but unfortunately, Sai Roop passed away today. Kavitha's husband is also said to be very critical and film and television industry colleagues are extending their condolences to her on social media.
