Kamal Haasan who floated his own political party Makkal Needhi Maiam in 2018 was expected to make a big impact in the TN Assembly elections 2021 but unfortunately suffered a huge loss in all the constituencies his party men contested in.
Adding salt to injury, important members of the MNM including Vice President R. Mahendran, General secretary Santhosh Babu and the state secretary of environmental wing Padmapriya have quit the party. Political analysts are opining that more exodus will happen soon the party and are even predicting that Kamal would discontinue politics. However Kamal seems to be in no mood to move away from the arena and keeps commenting on Twitter about various issues.
Meanwhile actress and political commentator Kasthuri has trolled the exodus in Makkal Needhi Maiam by comparing it to the 'Bigg Boss' reality show hosted by Kamal and has questioned who would be the next to be evicted or eliminated. It is worth recalling that Kasthuri played Kamal's daughter in the blockbuster film 'Indian' directed by Shankar which released in the year 1996.
Youtuber Padmapriya who contested Maduravoil and Santosh Babu IAS who ran from Velachery both quit from MNM, the party they had joined just before TN elections.
