Radha was one of the leading actresses who emerged as the dream girl of many fans in the South Indian film industry in the 80s. Following her sister Ambika, she made her acting debut in 1981 with Bharathiraja's 'Alaigal Oivathillai' which also marked the debut of Navarasa Nayagan Karthik.

After the stupendous critical and commercial success of the film she became much in demand as a leading lady. She acted alongside many leading Tamil superstars such as Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan, Sivakumar, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Vijayakanth, Mohan, Sathyaraj, Prabhu and Karthik.

Radha also had much success in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films as well teaming up with the top stars of the time such as Shoban Babu, Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Mammootty, Mohan Lal, Vishnuvardhan and Ambarish among others. At the peak of her career she married hotelier Rajasekhar and quit the film industry completely.

Radha has two daughters and one son. Both his daughters, Karthika and Tulasi, made their debut in the film industry and acted in only a few films. Karthika Nair the eldest got married in a grand manner a few days ago.

Karthika's husband is also a businessman called Rohit Menon. The ceremony was held in Thiruvananthapuram with many 80s celebrities from the South Indian film industry gracing the grand occassion. The bigwigs who were spotted include Chiranjeevi, Jackie Shroff, Radhika Sarathkumar, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Suhashini Mani Ratnam and Menaka Suresh among others.

Karthika also shared the wedding photo on Instagram that have gone viral. In their lavish Kerala style wedding, Karthika was first draped in a tradional costume and then wore a silk saree woven with gold thread and wore multilayered gold ornaments that left the attendees in awe. Fans and followers of the former actress turned businesswoman wished her and her husband a happy and long married life.
