Jyothika has created history in Tamil cinema as her upcoming film 'Ponmagal Vandhal' becomes the first Tamil film featuring a big star to have a direct OTT release.on Amazon Prime Video on May 29th. The film produced by Suriya and Jyothika has the ensemble cast of veterans including K. Bhagyaraj, R. Pandiarajan, Parthiban, Thiagarajan and Pratap Pothen.

In an exclusive interview to us over video conferencing Jyothika has given many tidbits about 'Ponmagal Vandhal' along with the debutante director Frederick JJ. To the question whether she is reprising her iconic role in the upcoming 'Chandramukhi 2' she has replied that no one has approached her yet and she has no knowledge about the project as of now.

In the original 'Chandramukhi' released in the year 2005, Jo played Ganga and her alter ego Chandramukhi along with Superstar Rajinikanth and Prabhu and the film went on become the biggest hit in the history of Tamil cinema running for 890 days in Chennai.
