Actress Hansika Motwani who started her career as a child artiste in Bollywood movies and television shows later played heroine in a few Hindi and Telugu films. Her debut in Tamil was in 'Maapillai' costarring Dhanush that released in 2011. She went on to star alongside several top heroes in Tamil including Vijay, Suriya, Karthi, Simbu, Jayam Ravi, Arya and Sivakarthikeyan.

Hansika was in a relationship with Simbu during the making of 'Vaalu' but they split due to differences but remained friends. Simbu graced Hansika's 50th film 'Maha' in a cameo playing her husband.

Earlier this year it was rumoured that Hansika is all set to tie the knot this year. Now Bollywood media has confirmed that the 31 year old has given her nod to a Mumbai based businessman who her parents chose.

It is further reported that Hansika will have a royal wedding at the Mundota Fort and Palace in Jaipur in December this year. Her brother Prashant Motwani's wedding was also conducted at the same venue in 2021. The official announcement from Hansika to her fans is expected soon.
