A popular actress has been charged with forcefully holding a 24-year-old female model and also assisting in three men gang-raping her. The case has shocked the film fraternity as well as the police who have made these additional charges on the actress who is already in custody.

Actress Gehana Vasisth aka Vandana Tiwari is a former bikini model and has acted in a few web series and television shows including 'Gaandi Bhaat' and has also anchored the Cricket World Cup 2015 for a news channel. In Tamil, she appeared for a song in the movie 'Peigal Jaakirathai' starring Thambi Ramaiah and Manobala.

A few days earlier Vasisth was arrested for shooting and uploading online around 87 adult videos under the guise of shooting web series. It was further alleged that she and her business partners lured young actresses promising them twenty thousand rupees to act in the soft porn films.

The advocate of Gehana Vasisth has denied the charges and has stated that his client was only shooting erotic videos and not porn as claimed by the police and has also said that the accusation by the model of gangrape is also false. The case is being investigated by the Mumbai police where the incident is said to have occurred.
