Gayathri Raghuram who started her career as an actress in films such as 'Charlie Chaplin' and 'Whistle' later became a top dance choreographer much like her dad, mom and aunts. She recently turned director for 'Yaadhumaagi Nindraai' which is streaming on Zee 5.

Gayathri Raghuram in one of her recent interviews has shared that she was the original choice to star as Dhanush's pair in the cult classic hit movie 'Pudhupettai' directed by Selvaraghavan. However due to some unforeseen circumstances, she opted out and Sneha was cast in the role and she received wide acclaim.

Other sources also say that Selva had planned another movie 'Oru Naal Oru Kanavu' which was supposed to have Dhanush, Sonia Agarwal and Gayathri Raghuram but the director dropped out and instead made 'Pudhupettai'.
