Veteran actress Gauthami Tadimalla was one of the most sought after leading ladies in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam cinema. She has starred opposite most of the big heroes of the time including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna among others.

Gauthami has announced on her social media that she is quitting the Bharatiya Janata Party in which she has been a member for 25 years. The shocking reason she has cited is that one C. Azhagappan known to her for more than two decades has embezzled her properties worth over thirty crores.

The 55 year old single mother with a grown up daughter Subbulakshmi a few weeks back lodged a police complaint. She had accused Azhagappan of not only illegally snatching her properties but also of making death threats to her and her daughter.

Gautami in her statement has specified that the BJP did not help her in any way in her time of need and thats why she quit. On the other hand she has expressed confidence that the state machinery run by M.K. Stalin will do the needful for her.
