Actress complains of rape by CEO of a company, police start a probe

A 30-year-old starlet who has done movies in Sandalwood and Kollywood has complained to the Bengaluru police that she was sedated, raped and blackmailed by Mohit, the CEO of a Bengaluru-based company.
As per a report by Eenadu, the offender had befriended the actress by introducing himself as a CEO. He even enlisted her as his company's brand ambassador. A few months later, he borrowed money from her on the pretext that he had run into financial troubles.
On June 22, 2019, Mohit invited her over to his place to celebrate his birthday party. As per the victim, it's on this occasion that he sedated and molested her. The predator shot the intimate moments on a mobile phone and started using the pictures to blackmail her into coughing up more and more money in the following months. So far, he has extracted upwards of Rs 20 lakh from her.
When the actress took his shenanigans to his parents' notice, they allegedly supported their son.
The police have, with the help of available evidence, launched a probe. Mohit's parents, too, are in the dock.
