On May 28th a 29-year-old actress committed suicide by consuming poison which she also recorded on video and her final moments accusing her lover Dinesh of pushing her to take her own life created a sensation in the media. The alleged lover Dinesh was absconding since that day but the Bengaluru police have arrested him and are questioning him at the Suddagunte Police Station

According to sources Chandana's family came to Bengaluru from her village seven years back and initially worked in a private company. She had aspirations of becoming an actress and started doing voiceovers for commercials and later got the chance to act in a Kannada movie 'Quarter Life' which is yet to release.

Five years back Chandana met Dinesh and they fell in love and were in an intimate relationship but when the actress insisted on marrying him he tried to avoid. Later when Chandana's parents approached the boy's parents they insulted them by speaking ill of her character. The girl had then tried her best to convince Dinesh to marry her but he did not budge and she decided to take the extreme step and committed suicide.
