Vijay-Suriya heroine is now famous hero's elder sister

A popular and much loved heroine of the early 2000s is returning to Tamil cinema after several years playing the elder sister of a famous hero. The actress in question is none other than Bhumika Chawla who paired with Thalapathy Vijay in 'Badri' and Suriya in 'Sillunu Oru Kadhal'.
Bhumika who once ruled Telugu cinema as the most sought after heroine later got married to her long time boyfriend Bharat Thakur in 2007 and has a son born in 2014. She has since mostly appeared in Telugu and Hindi films that include 'MS Dhoni : The Untold Story' and 'Seetha Ramam' and in a few Tamil ones as well such as Nayanthara's 'Kolaiyuthirkaalam'.
Bhumika who is playing a powerful role in Udhayanidhi Stalin's 'Kannai Nambathey' directed by Maaran has boarded a new movie starring Jayam Ravi and Priyanka Arul Mohan in the lead roles. The as yet untitled film went on floors earlier this month and is progressing briskly.
The film tentatively titled 'JR30' is directed by M. Rajesh and is about the strong bond between an elder sister and her brother with Bhumika and Jayam Ravi play the roles respectively. The film produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainment has musi by Harris Jayaraj.
Bhumika celebrated her birthday on the sets of 'JR30' and photos from the occassion have gone viral on the internet. It is said that the filming will be wrapped up within the next couple of months and release is planned for early 2023.
