Bhavana has acted only in a handful of movies in Tamil but she is very popular with the Kollywood audience for her memorable performances in 'Chithiram Pesuthadi', 'Veiyil', 'Deepavali' and as Thala Ajith's heroine in 'Asal'. She is also most admired for fighting a horrific crime against women.

Bhavana married Kannada producer Naveen on January 22nd 2018 and after a long time has appeared on social media to express her good wishes to childhood buddy and Malayalam fellow actress Ramya Nambeesan. Bhavana in the video is seen swaying to a bubbly music and stating "I loved your new song Ramya... Wishing you all the best and I love you so much."
