Anushka Shetty has been ruling the South Indian film industry for the better part of a decade and a half. Her most recent film 'Baahubali 2' in which she played the powerful role of Devasena is the highest grossing Indian film ever in history.

On the personal front the 40 year old actress is pretty close to her parents Prafulla and A. N. Vittal Shetty and her two elder brothers, Gunaranjan Shetty and Sai Ramesh Shetty. The eldest sibling is a politician belonging to the Jayakarnataka Janapara Vedike.

Gunarajanjan Shetty and his party members have approached the Home Minister of Karnataka seeking protection and action against two men Manvit Rai and Rakesh Malli. The have alleged that the duo who were once close friends of Shetty have now turned foes and have made death threats to him. Rai who is abroad has denied the claims while the police have interrogated Malli and details will be out soon.

Anushka who has taken a self imposed hiatus from films is set to return with a new Telugu film costarring Naveen Polishetty and is also in talks to star as the heroine opposite Raghava Lawrence in 'Chandramukhi 2' directed by P. Vasu.
