Actress Anu Sithara is one of the few Malayalam actresses who carved a niche for herself in a very short period of time. Having made her acting debut through the movie ‘Pottas Bomb’, Anu rose to fame with the 2017 movie, 'Ramante Eden Thottam' in which she played the female lead opposite to actor Kunchacko Boban. Her character in the Jayasurya starrer 'Captain' also garnered praise. She was last seen in the Mammootty starrer 'Mamangam'. The latest is that the diva has kickstarted her new movie titled Santhosham, directed by Ajith Thomas, who has previously worked as an associate in Jeethu Joseph’s films such as ‘My Boss’, ‘Memories’, ‘Drishyam’ and its Tamil remake ‘Papanasham’. The switch-on ceremony was held at Ernakulam last week and the lead pair Anu Sithara and Amith Chakalakkal joined the shoot. The event was held with the presence of Mallika Sukumaran, Anu Sithara,Jeethu Joseph, Asha Aravind, Suneesh Vaaranadu, Amith Chakalakkal, Nithya Mamen, and Tinku Peter.

Touted to be a family entertainer, the movie will feature Anu Sithara playing the role of an entrepreneur who runs an office with about four of her staff. Penned by Arjun TS of Rakshadhikarai Baiju Oppu fame, the movie's editing will be carried out by Johnkutty, whereas the cinematography will be done by Karthik A.
