Mani Ratnam heroine who lost memory in accident 20 years ago is making a comeback

Mani Ratnam's 1993 hit movie 'Thiruda Thiruda' had Prashanth and Anand playing the male leads while Heera Rajagopal and Anu Aggarwal played the female leads. Anu Agarwal before that became a national sensation after her debut in Mahesh Bhatt's 'Aashiqui' in which she portrayed a lovestruck young girl.

Anu met with a serious accident in 1999 and was in a coma for 29 days after which she lost the memory of her past life before that. Since then she has struggled alone to bring her life back on track and now lives in Bengaluru and is a an amateur power-lifter and has competed in many power-lifting competitions.

Anu Aggarwal's life story is going to be made as a biopic web series soon and the shooting will be held post lockdown. The 51 year old actress will be playing her older self while a young actress will be playing her younger version.

Anu in a recent interview has stated " "To feel strong, to walk amongst humans with a tremendous feeling of confidence and superiority is not at all wrong. The sense of superiority in bodily strength is borne out by the long history of mankind paying homage in folklore, song and poetry to strong women"
