Amyra Dastsur the talented young actress apart from her Bollywood films has also made her mark in Tamil cinema with 'Anegan' opposite Dhanush and the Indo-Chinese fantasy adventure flick 'Kung Fu Yoga' starring Jackie Chan and Sonu Sood.

Amyra has taken legal action against actress Luviena Lodh for mentioning her as a drug abuser in a video that the latter posted on Instagram.  Lodh the ex wife of Sumit Sabharwal a nephew of Mahesh Bhatt has stated that she divorced her husband after seeing him supply drugs to Amyra Dastur and Sapna Pabbi etc.  She also accused veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt of harassing her.

Amyra's lawyer has released a statement that reads "“We refer to the statement in relation to our Client 'Ms. Amyra Dastur' AKA 'Ms. Amy Dastur' with the video recently released by one Ms. Luviena Lodh. Accordingly on instructions and on behalf of our client, it is clarified that the said video contains false statements relating to our client and that our client is convinced that the same is published with an aim to defame and cause harm, injury and damage to the reputation of our client.”

The advocate Saveena Bedhi Sachar has added  “Our client completely refutes all such statements referring to her in the said video as being completely false, unfounded and malicious and further reserves her right to seek all remedies available to her in law and equity. Our client also states that it is very unfortunate when individuals resort to such unfounded attacks and condemn the same.

Amyra Dastur on the professional front has three Tamil movies in the pipeline 'Odi Odi Uzhaikanum' opposite Santhanam, 'Bagheera' with Prabhu Deva and 'Kadhalai Thedi Nithya Nanda' with G.V. Prakash Kumar.
