On Sunday evening, popular TV actor Adithyan Jayan was spotted inside his car with a severed wrist. The actor, who reportedly attempted suicide, was rushed to the hospital by the locals. "I want to die," was what he kept on saying while he was rushed to a hospital in Thrissur. It is said that Adithyan Jayan had also taken high dosage of sleeping pills. Though the actor is out of danger, he is still under observation in ICU.

While the news had shaken the entire industry, Adithyan's wife and actress Ambili Devi says that her estranged husband was a good actor in real life too. The actress said that her second husband Adithyan had mentally and physically tortured her. She said that she has decided to face him legally henceforth. In her complaint, the actress mentioned that he insulted her womanhood. She had also given a complaint to the cyber cell alleging that Adithyan tried to fabricate things to insult her.

“Some people might not believe if I open up about what had actually happened in my marital life. I now feel that this marriage was a grave mistake. I only knew about his first marriage and a live–in relationship. I could see Adithyan’s other face only after marriage. He acted as if he was a good person. He is an amazing actor. He acted even in front of my parents. That is what led to this marriage,” said Ambili in an interview with ManoramaOnline.

Ambili Devi and Adithyan Jayan got married in 2019. It was recently Ambili alleged that Adithyan had cheated on her. She had also complained that Adithyan had asked for a divorce and made death threats to her. On the other hand, Adithyan denied all the allegations.
