The other day, Bollywood filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri suggested to actress Swara Bhasker that she should talk to the oppressed women of Chattisgarh's Bastar to know what real feminism. To quote his tweet in verbatim, here is what the director said: "We have interviewed many ex-naxal` women in Bastar. Each has gut-wrenching stories to tell, full of abuse, rape and misogyny If they marry, they aren`t allowed to have children. I think fake feminist Swara must make a trip to understand how the Real Vagina feels like." (This tweet came after Swara's open letter on 'Padmaavat')
Misinterpreting the director's insightful tweet, the actress alleged that Vivek was asking her to get raped! "I am sorry did you just suggest that I go get myself raped? Like seriously? Did you type out this tweet Vivek? I would say pretty low and sick even by your own abysmal standards of conduct and civility," she tweeted in reply.
Vivek, trying to make her see the intention of his tweet, said, "Why is it that whenever we talk about empathy and understanding, fake feminists like Swara can only think of rape? You can say whatever you want, they end up translating it only with their sexually perverted dictionary."
Speaking to a news agency, Vivek, who is making a movie on the mysterious death of Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, described Swara as an urban naxal.
