Actress Akshara Reddy was one of the star contestants of 'Bigg Boss 5 Tamil' hosted by Kamal Haasan that recently concluded on Vijay TV.    She played the game well for many weeks before being evicted on the 84th day.   She later participated as a guest on the 104th day during the grand finale.

According to Kerala media reports Akshara has been summoned for questioning by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a gold smuggling case that happened in 2013.  It is said that she was grilled for several hours at the Kozhikode ED office in Kerala.  The outcome of the enquiy is unknown.

It has been alleged that Akshara's real name is Shravya Sudhakar and she was into modelling when the gold smuggling case shook Kerala and one of her close friends was found to be involved.  It was further alleged that she not only changed her name later but also underwent plastic surgery on her face.

On the movies front Akshara Reddy has currently signed a new movie as heroine in which her 'Bigg Boss 5' housemate Varun plays the male lead.
