Director Shankar's daughter Aditi Shankar who is a doctor by profession made her acting debut in the upcoming film 'Viruman' produced by Suriya and costarring Karthi in the lead. She is also said to have signed on as heroine in Simbu's upcoming movie 'Corona Kumar' directed by Gokul and produced by Vels Films International.

Even before the release of her first movie 'Viruman', Aditi Shankar has debuted as a singer in the much hyped Telugu movie 'Ghani' starring Varun Tej. She has sung the song 'Romeo Juliet' in Thaman's music which will be released on February 8th.
