A 30-year-old actress who has acted in Tamil and Kannada films has lodged a complaint against one Mohit the CEO of a Bengaluru-based company alleging that she was sedated, raped, and blackmailed by him.

As per reports and the complaint given to the Bengaluru police the offender had befriended the actress by introducing himself as a CEO. He even enlisted her as his company's brand ambassador. A few months later, he borrowed money from her on the pretext that he had run into financial troubles.

On June 22, 2019, Mohit allegedly invited the young actress over to his place to celebrate his birthday. As per the actress at the birthday party, she was given a sedated drink and the was molested by the man. The predator is also accused of shooting the intimate moments on a mobile phone and started using the pictures to blackmail her into coughing up more and more money in the following months. So far, he is said to have extracted upwards of Rs 20 lakh from her.

The actress has further stated that she took up the issue to Mohit's parents' but the shockingly supported their son and are said to be accomplices in the crime. The police have, with the help of available evidence, launched a probe. Mohit's parents, too, are in the dock.
