Actress abduction case: Police officer who traced Dileep wins prestigious award!

In February 2017, a popular south Indian actress was abducted and molested by a gang of men in a moving vehicle sending shockwaves across the Nation. It was the evidence collected by Kerala police circle inspector Biju Paulose that led to the arrest of 10 people in connection with the case. Seven people, including the key accused 'Pulsar' Suni were arrested in the initial stage of investigation.

Later, it was Biju Paulose' collected evidences that found that the conspiracy to abduct and assault the actress in a moving car and videotape the act was hatched by Dileep. Reportedly, Paulose used to visit the cyber cell office in Aluva, mostly alone to trace the call records of Dileep and the main accused Suni which proved to be vital in linking the actor to the case.

The actor was subsequently arrested and arrayed as an accused in connection with offences under provisions of the Indian Penal Code and IT Act.

Biju Paulose caseAfter serving 85 days in Aluva sub jail, Dileep walked out on October 3 after the Kerala High Court granted him bail on stringent conditions. 10 people including Dileep are still facing trial in connection with the case.

On Friday, Biju Paulose, the circle inspector who played a vital role in finding our Dileep's connection in the case, was chosen for 2019’s award given by union home ministry for the best investigating officer award of the country.

Dileep case Biju who started his career as a sub inspector of Thiruvananthapuram Cantonment Station in 2003, is also the recipient of chief minister's police medal for outstanding police officer. The non-corrupted officer was proved many important cases as well such as Jisha murder case in Perumbavoor and Santiago Martin lottery case.
