The Angamaly court on September 18th dismissed a bail petition of actor Dileep, who is in judicial custody in connection with the case relating to the sexual assault of a woman actor. A day after his fourth bail application was denied, the actor had once again approached the Kerala High Court on September 19th to let him out on bail.
The court deferred the bail application to 26 September for hearing. The court had observed that the bail application can be considered "only if there are sufficient change in circumstances." At the hearing, the court also queried about the progress of the investigation. Prosecution's counsel submitted to the court that the investigation is likely to be completed in three weeks.
This is the fifth time the actor has filed a bail application before courts, ever since his arrest on 10 July. Meanwhile, the Angamaly court has extended Dileep's judicial remand till 28 September.
