The South Indian film industry and the general public were shocked when a very popular young leading actress of Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu movies was abducted and molested on February 17th 2017. The accused Pulsar Suni and six others allegedly kidnapped the actress while she was returning from a shoot in Kerala and the molestation took place in the car which was recorded by the criminals.

Malayalam superstar Dileep was arrested as the master conspirator and was jailed for close to eighty days after which he was granted bail. The case proceedings were hampered by the coronavirus pandemic and resumed today. The actress will be cross examined for three days and after that, the actress's brother and actor Lal's driver also will undergo the same.

Actress Ramya Nambesan who is a close friend of the affected actress and a key witness in the case has also been summoned to be cross examined at a later date. Similarly statements of actress Bhama and actor Siddique also will be recorded and in accordance with the Supreme Court order the case will be finalized within six months.
