On the first death anniversary of filmmaker Sachy, Mollywood fraternity paid homage to him. The first to remember him was his best friend and actor Prithviraj, who took to his social media handles to pen a heartfelt note for his bestie. “The laughs, the ideas, the stories, the trust. Sachy…one year,” wrote ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ actor, sharing a pic of Sachy from the sets of the movie.Actor Biju Menon also shared a happy picture with Sachy and opened up about how much he is missing his good friend. “Always on my mind.. forever in my heart, my soulmate..my dearest Sachi .Miss you my friend,” wrote Biju Menon. Released last year, Sachy's last directorial ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ featured Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in lead roles and the film emerged as a blockbuster for all right reasons.

KR Sachidanandan aka Sachy’s untimely death deprived the Malayalam film industry of a filmmaker who began to tap into his true genius in the past few years. Sachy, who was a critically acclaimed director and writer, passed away on July 18, 2020 after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was 48.
