Vivek receives one of the most valuable gifts in his life

Actor Vivek is fondly known as Chinna Kalaivanar for his penchant for mixing socially relevant messages with comedy like the legendary Kalaivanar N.S. Krishnan. He was introduced to Tamil cinema by another legend K. Balachander in his 1987 film 'Manathil Urudhi Vendum' and for the past thirty-two years has been reigning as one of the leading comedy and character actors.

Vivek has shared that he has received the pen used by K. Balachander to write his screenplays as a gift from the filmmaker's daughter Pushpa Kandaswamy. The actor who was recently seen in Thalapathy Vijay's 'Bigil' has written on Twitter "I came to cinema after watching and reading KB's movies and writings and its not a gift but a boon that I have received the pen used by him and I thank Pushpa Kandaswamy with all my heart".

Vivek's long-time dream of acting with Kamal Haasan too has been realized this year as he is starring in a pivotal role in 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar which is under production. The veteran is also part of an untitled project with Harish Kalyan in the lead.
