Late actor Vivek's wife Arulselvi and daughter Amirthanandini recently met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin along with the actor's acquaintances and requested CM to rename the street he lived in Vivekh's memory.

A function to present Ramadan gifts to 1,000 families in the Chennai Virugambakkam Assembly constituency was held in Alwarthirunagar under the chairmanship of Virugambakkam Assembly Member Prabhakar Raja.

Speaking at the event, Minister Ma Subramaniam has said that the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has immediately issued an order accepting the request of the family to name the area after Vivek where the actor lived.

Vivek was 59 when he breathed his last at a private hospital in Chennai. His untimely demise sent shockwaves across the Tamil film industry. Last week (April 17), his family members observed the first death anniversary of the actor Vivek.
