On Friday, actor Vivekh suffered a heart attack and has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai. The actor is in the ICU as his condition is serious, the hospital PRO stated. The actor is currently being monitored by a team of doctors and is said to have been taken for an angiogram.

It was on Thursday, the actor took the Covid-19 vaccine at the Government Omandurar Hospital. He had also urged everyone to come forward to take the vaccine. The actor stressed the importance of wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing and practicing hand hygiene as well as vaccination that could help in saving lives.

On the work front, the actor was last seen playing a doctor's role in Dharala Prabhu, the Tamil remake of the 2012 Hindi film Vicky Donor. Vivek is also part of Kamal Haasan’s upcoming sequel Indian 2.
