Legendary comedy actor Vivek passed away suddenly on April 17th 2020 leaving the film fraternity and fans in utter shock and disbelief. At that time he was advocating the need for COVID 19 vaccination and to encourage the people of Tamil Nadu he took the jab on the 16th.
Vivek early in the morning of the fateful day suffered a massive heart attack and was rushed to the hospital for treatment but breathed his last without recovering. At that time controversies arose that the cause of death could have been the vaccine but his family denied it in a statement later.
A Vizhuppuram based social activist filed a petition to the Human Rights Commission to investigate whether Vivek’s death was caused by the coronavirus vaccine or not. The NHRC accepted the petition and has started legal proceedings on the issue.
