Vishal's revelations of CBFC corruption in Mumbai grabbed news. He said that the Mumbai CBFC office demanded Rs 6.5 lakh for the Hindi censor rights of his current film Mark Antony. This discovery prompted Prime Minister Narendra Modi to launch an investigation.
Vishal thanked PM Modi, Maharashtra CM Mieknath Shinde, and the MIB for their fast response to censor board corruption. "I sincerely thank @MIB_India for taking immediate steps on this important matter pertaining to corruption in #CBFC Mumbai," he wrote on X (previously Twitter). Thank you for taking the required action. I hope this will set an example for any government employee who aspires to or is involved in corruption to serve the nation honestly."
He wrote, "Thanks again to Prime Minister @narendramodi, Maharashtra CM @mieknathshinde, and everyone concerned in launching this initiative quickly. A simple citizen like me and others feels satisfied that corruption victims will receive justice, Jai-Hind."
After Vishal's corruption charges, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) made a statement vowing strong action against corrupt officials and a thorough investigation.
Vishal revealed Central Board of Film Certification corruption charges in a thorough statement and accompanying proof on September 29. His efforts raised attention to the issue and stressed government openness and accountability.
