H. Vasanthakumar MP, one of Tamil Nadu's most inspiring businessmen ever and a clean politician passed away on Friday, August 28th due to severe pneumonia following a COVID 19 infection on August 10th. He was admitted to the Apollo Hospitals in Chennai but succumbed to the virus.
Actor Vijay Vasanth of 'Chennai 600 028' fame has posted an emotional message on social media summing up the wonderful life that H. Vasanthakumar led. He has written "50 years back, when he was 20, my father came to chennai carrying only dreams. 50 years later, all his dreams realised, he returned to his village as wholesome human to be laid to rest. Thanks for your prayers, tributes & condolences.".
Interviews from many celebrities and friends and especially from the staff of Vasanth and Co show how much the legend was loved by those around him. It has come to light that he considered his workers as family and has never dismissed any employee in his life. If anyone had committed a mistake he would only transfer that person considering his family and give him or her a chance to repent.
