Actor Vijay recently had a release with Bigil directed by Atlee, and the movie which was produced by AGS Entertainment is running successfully, crossing more than 150 crores gross in three days of release. Even as the movie is running successfully, Vijay has faced a threat to his life.

As per police reports, on Saturday night, the state police control room received a call from an unknown person who said that a bomb was set in actor Vijay's home and that it will explode in some time. Following this, police forces were alarmed and they enquired at the Saligramam residence of Vijay's father SA Chandrasekhar.

Vijay's residence at Panaiyur, ECR was also checked and security was tightened, and police had registered a case under cyber crime, and upon investigation it was found that the call was made by a youngster from Alappakkam near Porur, and his answers to the questions asked by police officers have been confusing, as per police reports.
