Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj set a new trend in Kollywood with the blockbuster 'Master'. Though it is not yet officially announced, the world knows that the two are set to team up once again for the project, tentatively titled 'Thalapathy 67'. The hype for the upcoming movie already skyrocketed.

Now, sources close to the Thalapathy Vijay starrer have dropped an exciting update on its shooting schedule. Thalapathy 67 is likely to go on floors in December 2022. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is planning for an extensive shooting schedule of 170 days, for the ambitious project, as per the latest updates.

However, the shooting will span over 8 months in multiple schedules. Lokesh and his team will dedicate at least 3-4 months to the post-production works of the film after wrapping up the filming. So, it is almost confirmed that Thalapathy 67 will not hit theatres in 2023. The technical crew of 'Vikram' is expected to be retained for this untitled film as well.

If the reports are to be believed, Prithviraj Sukumaran and director Mysskin are no longer a part of the project. Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly and Tamil star Vishal are in talks for those negative roles. Trisha is reuniting with Vijay, to play the female lead in Thalapathy 67. The rest of the star cast includes many popular names such as Sanjay Dutt, director Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Narain, Arjun Das, and others.
