One of the popular comedians of the 90s, actor Vaiyapuri has acted with almost all top stars of Kollywood including Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith, Vijay, Suriya, Vikram, and is regularly seen in director Ezhil's movies.
Vaiyapuri had surprised film lovers with his entry as a contestant in the first season of Kamal Haasan-hosted reality game show Bigg Boss and is currently acting in several movies. We got in touch with Vayapuri for an exclusive interview in which he has shared many unknown information about his two colleagues who lost their lives recently, Vivek and Pandu.
Vayapuri has said that Pandu is one of his closest friends in Tamil cinema and when he was in 'Bigg Boss' house used to call his wife every day to ask her if she needs any help. Similarly, Pandu's sons have shared to Vayapuri that their father even a day before his death wanted to speak to him over the phone. The comedy actor has also shared that he wanted to visit Pandu's family to console them but they asked him not to risk considering his age and told him to wait till things settle down.
Vayapuri who has acted in many films with Vivek said that the late comedian and social activist took his COVID 19 vaccine at the government hospital in Chennai with the sole aim of inspiring the common people to do the same and to remove their fears. He added that inspired by Vivek he too went to Madurai and spread awareness about the importance of getting vaccinated.
Vayapuri also revealed that he, his wife, his mother in law and son have been vaccinated with two doses in March and none of them had any side effects and has urged fans to follow suit.
