Priyanka, the wife of actor Unni Rajan P Dev, was found dead hanging at her residence on Wednesday. On Friday, Priyanka's relatives have raised suspicion over her death alleging that she was forced to commit suicide due to domestic violence. Reportedly, Unni used to beat Priyanka over dowry issues. Though she did not complain about the violence with her family, after the torture became unbearable, Priyanka filed a complaint against Unni in the Vattappara police station. The complaint was filed just a day before her death.

“Unni and Priyanka were in love. So, they were happy when they started a new life together. But later, Unni started selling Priyanka’s jewelry for his needs. Her mother used to transfer money for Unni as per his demand. But Priyanka didn’t tell us these matters earlier," said one of Priyanka's relatives, who further added that Priyanka was cruelly beaten up by Unni several times. Priyanka had even recorded some visuals of Unni attacking her.

Unni Rajan P Dev is the younger son of veteran late actor Rajan P Dev. Unni entered wedlock with Priyanka in 2019. Unni made his acting debut with the movie ‘Aadu Oru Bheekarajeeviyanu’ directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas. He had acted in several other movies such as ‘Idi’, ‘Rakshadhikari Baiju’, ‘Mandharam’ and ‘Janamaithri’.
