Only recently, we saw a controversy erupt over "unfair terms" to distributors. Three distributors who had allegedly lost crores because of Loafer were at the centre of the controversy. Since Puri Jagannadh is the one they fought with, the controversy raised quite a storm initially.

It's now the turn of Adithya Om (years ago he acted in films like Lahiri Lahiri Lahiri Lo and Dhana Lakshmi I Love You) to complain. After a sabbatical, he has turned a director with the film Friend Request. A thriller-like film, this one was to release today. However, it hasn't hit the screens.

Saying that distributors of Nizam area, who had promised to release Friend Request in 30 theatres eventually said that they will release the movie in 3 theatres only, Adithya Om has sit on a dharna in front of the Film Chamber building in Hyderabad. He has said that he demanded justice.

At a time when small films have to make the most by the end of first weekend, failing which they can't survive, such developments are a cause of anxiety among small producers.
