Veteran actor singer-musician T.S. Raghavendra passed away last night at his residence due to age-related ailments. His last rites will be held today from 2pm at his home in K.K. Nagar West. Raghavendra also known as Raghavendar is survived by his wife Sulochana and daughters Kalpana and Shekinnah Shawn (born Prasanna Raghavendra) who are also famous singers.

Raghavendra came into the limelight after K. Balachander gave him a memorable role in 'Sindhu Bhairavi' as a judge and step-father of the heroine Suhasini's character. He has acted in hundreds of films including 'Vaidehi Kathirundhaal', 'Vikram' , 'Chinna Thambi Periya Thambi' and others. He has also scored music for 'Yaaga Saalai', 'Uyir' and 'Padikatha Paadam'. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
