Suriya one of the highly-rated star actors in South Indian cinema is also known for his philanthropist activities especially in the field of education. Fans are aware that he studied at the famous Loyola College in Chennai and recently he had had an interaction with the old alumni there.
Suriya in the video interview revealed that the management of Loyola college were hesitant to give admission to him in 1992. Sivakumar was told that several children of Kollywood celebrities who got admission, quit midway and the management did not want to waste a seat.
Suriya had then promised that he would complete his studies and kept his promise. The 'Soorarai Pottru' star also shared that many big stars such as Prabhu, Venkatesh are old alumni of Loyola and of course Thalapathy Vijay is his batchmate. On the professional front, Suriya's next release is 'Guitar Kambi Mela Ninnu' as a part of Mani Ratnam's 'Navarasa' anthology web series directed by GVM which will stream on August 6th. His other films that will hit the screens one after the other in the coming months are 'Jai Bheem' directed by T.G. Gnanavel and 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' directed by Pandiraj and produced by Sun Pictures.
