The past four months have been quite challenging for most people in the world due to lockdowns and especially in India millions have been affected with the livelihoods in question. The entertainment industry is one of the worst affected as most of the workforce are daily wage earners including actors who do supporting roles.

In the meantime Kannada actor director Srinath Vasishta has chosen to become the security guard of the apartment building he lives in as the one who was serving tested positive for the COVID 19 and is being treated in a government facility. The other apartment staff have been asked to quarantine and the residents are taking turns to cover shifts.

Srinath Vasishta told DH "I had played the role of a security guard in one of the Kannada serials Chi.Sow.Savithri. This time, I did it for real. I spent the day tracking vehicles moving in and out of the apartment complex, monitoring temperature and checking if people were wearing masks."

Srinath Vasishta who is also a director and dubbing artiste is famous for his roles in 'Naa Ninna Mareyalare,' 'RangiTaranga,' 'Kraurya', 'Krishna Nee Begane Baaro,' and others.
