Kerala announced a complete lockdown from May 8 to 16 with only essential services allowed. On Friday, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had announced that nobody will go hungry during the lockdown in the state. “Nobody will go hungry during the lockdown. Next week onwards free food kits will be distributed for all families and guest workers. Food will be delivered to the needy from People's Restaurants and Community Kitchens through Local Self Government Institutions," tweeted Pinarayi Vijayan. The free food kit distribution will begin from this upcoming week.
Lauding this humanitarian move, actor Siddharth retweeted Pinarayi’s tweet with a clapping hands emoji.
Actor Siddharth, who is not only a brilliant performer but also known for his bold statements on social and political issues, had earlier congratulated the Kerala CM on ensuring a successful second term in the Kerala Assembly elections 2021. The actor tweeted, "Pinrarya Vijayan. #ElectionResults2021" (sic.)
Soon netizens spotted the spelling mistake in Pinarayi Vijayan's name and pointed it on the comment section. Siddharth, in yet another tweet, clarified that he knew the spelling and that he was just praising the leader. Take a look at the tweet.

We are in grave danger and have so far been losing the fight against COVID. Let's support our doctors.
It's up to each and every one of us to stay safe and keep others safe. Together we can overcome these hardships. ❤️
Full respect to any leader of any state who can announce and execute a plan without resorting to circus acts and PR games. This is not a time to make personal gains. Just announce and execute. The people are tired of the silliness during COVID. Please.
