Actor Siddharth is a very popular hero in not only Tamil and Telugu industries but also has spread his wings in Malayalam and Hindi as well. He is very active on social media and never shies away from expressing his views boldly even if its against the state and central ruling parties.
Siddharth has shared on his social media pages that he is the target of shockingly gruesome attacks on the digital space. He has written My phone number was leaked by members of TN BJP and @BJPtnITcell Over 500 calls of abuse, rape and death threats to me & family for over 24 hrs. All numbers recorded (with BJP links and DPs) and handing over to Police. I will not shut up. Keep trying.”
The multilingual actor has also shared details of one of the social media users who has been attacking him and also getting others to act against him by making threats. While that person had tweeted “Ivan inimela vaaye thirakka koodathu” (this fellow must never open his mouth again), Siddharth has replied to him We might survive Covid. Will we survive these people?.
It is said that the BJP followers are irked by Siddharth's criticism of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adyanath on Twitter for his statement that anyone saying there is no oxygen in the state will be arrested. The party members have filed a case against Siddharth in Chennai claiming that he is indulging in terrorism against Adyanath. The 'Boys' actor is also a hardcore critic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
Many celebrities including Aditi Rao Hydari, C.S. Amudhan and others have come out in support of Siddharth and #IStandWithSiddharth is trending on Twitter.
This is one of many social media posts by BJP TN members leaking my number yesterday and telling people to attack and harass me.
