Actor Shine Tom Chacko has allegedly manhandled a local man on the location of his upcoming movie Thallumala over a dispute on dumping garbage. Reportedly, the Thallumala team was camping at Kalamassery's HMT colony for the shoot when the film crew was questioned by the locals for dumping trash in the area and parking vehicles in the way. Soon a clash broke our between the crew and the residents. According to eyewitnesses, Chacko intervened in the dispute, resulting in a brawl between him and a group of people.
A member of the film crew sought medical attention, claiming that he was abused by locals. Meanwhile, Shine is said to have mistreated a local resident named Shameer, who was also later admitted to a hospital. “The crew dumped food waste and parked the vehicles on the roadside. Local people questioned it. Shine interfered and the argument led to an altercation,” said a police officer. Despite the fact that both parties have filed complaints against each other, the police are yet to file charges, claiming that talks to resolve the matter are ongoing.
Tovino Thomas and Kalyani Priyadarshan play the lead roles in Thallumala directed by Khalid Rahman. The film also features the actors Sharafudheen, Lukman Avaran, Shine Tom Chacko, and Vineeth Kumar in pivotal roles.The movie's script is penned down by the writers Muhsin Parari and Ashraf Hamza. Jimshi Khalid will crank the lens whereas the editing section will be handled by Nishadh Yusuf.
