Social media is the mouthpiece of celebrities in modern times with most of them using it to not only communicate with their fans but also share loads and loads of personal moments with them. At the same time, there are the imposters who create fake accounts of celebrities and take in some quick followers and try to maintain it as long as they can.
Yesterday an account appeared in veteran comedian Senthil's name and a letter supposedly written by him on his letter pad read (In Tamil) Greetings and I request everyone to stay at home as the coronavirus is spreading. I last appeared with my younger brother Suriya in 'Thaana Serndha Koottam' and am hoping to work in more films in the future to entertain you. I joined Twitter to keep in touch with you all and I thank you for all the love and support you showed me so far.
Senthil has appeared on a video to clarify that the only media he knows is print and television and he has nothing to do with Facebook, twitter or any other social media and not to be taken in by the fake account. The veteran has used the opportunity to request his fans to stay safe at home, follow social distancing and also wash hands often with soap to fight the coronavirus.
