Some members of the Tamil film industry have been affected by the coronavirus following the rapid spread of the COVID-19 and Omicron variant cases across Tamil Nadu in the last few days. Veteran actor Sathyaraj was diagnosed with the COVID infection a few days ago.

Sathyaraj was hospitalised and being treated after he tested positive for the coronavirus. Sources said that the actor's condition was stable and he was gradually recovering. Now, his son and actor Sibiraj took to his Twitter page to share an important health update about Sathyaraj.

Sibiraj wrote, "Hey guys..Appa got discharged from the hospital last night and back home..He’s totally fine and will resume work after few days of rest..Thank you all for your love and support! #Sathyaraj (sic)." On the work front, actor Sathyaraj starrer 'Radhe Shyam' and 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' will be released soon. The shooting of his upcoming films 'Pakka Commercial' and 'Khaki' is in full swing.
