Sasikumar is a famous Tamil director and actor who started his cinema career with the cult classic 'Subramaniapuram'. He stopped directing and turned into a full-time actor after his second directorial 'Eesan'. Ever since then, many fans are requesting him to return to filmmaking again.
Meanwhile, Indiaglitz broke to you a couple of months back that Sasikumar is planning to mark his comeback by directing the on-screen adaptation of the controversial 'Kuttra Parambarai'. While all are expecting it to be a film, the latest is that Sasikumar will direct a web series based on the novel.
This series will feature Captain Vijayakanth's son Shanmuga Pandian in a key role and is produced by cinematographer Velraj. It is a book written by Vela Ramamoorthy that is set in the 19th century. The period drama will deal extensively with the tribal community of Kutra Parambarai.
Both the legendary directors shared some harsh words then, which stirred up controversy in Kollywood. A few years ago, there was a rift between directors Bala and Bharathiraja over directing the story. But the makers didn't proceed with the project after the serious dispute.
