Popular international actor Ray Stevenson passed away suddenly in Italy on Sunday pushing his colleagues and fans in grief. He was 58 and is survived by his ex-wife actress Ruth Gemmell. The cause of the untimely death has not been made official yet.

Born in Northern Ireland on May 25, 1964, Stevenson began his career appearing on TV shows in the 1990s then began landing action roles in Hollywood films. His film credits include 'King Arthur', 'Punisher: War Zone', 'The Three Musketeers' and the first three 'Thor' movies in which he played the hero's ally Volstagg.

Ray Stevenson attained wide fame across India playing the arch villain Governor Scott Buckson in S.S. Rajamouli's magnum opus 'RRR' starring Ram Charan and Junior NTR.
