Actor Rahman's daughter Rushda entered wedlock with Althaf Navab on December 9 and the versatile actor hosted a grand reception for the newlyweds. The gala ceremony was attended by several celebrities from south India. In fact, the reception was a grand reunion for several yesteryear actors including Shobana, Suhasini, Revathy, Ambika, Parvathy Jayaram, Lizzy, Menaka Suresh, and Nadia Moidu attended the wedding. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin also blessed the function with his presence. Mohanlal was one of the chief guests in the star-studded wedding reception.

Expressing gratitude to Mohanlal for attending the reception, Rahman took to his social media page to pen a heartfelt gratitude note for the legend. “As being a father, I was tensed about a lot of things related to the wedding amid the COVID scare. When I was searching for a person to give strength to me, Lalettan reached there along with Suchitra. As I expected, the duo followed the dress code and underwent an RT-PCR test.
