Ever since its existence Tamil cinema has housed many talented stars and superstars who have endeared themselves to the audiences. These few lucky men and women are always showered love upon whether they appear on screen often or choose to select only the right scripts to perfrom with.

Prashanth is one such star better known as the Top Star who has remained a crowd favorite of all age groups for more than three decades. Until his entry into Tamil cinema in 1990 actors well into the thirties were doing youngster roles which did not connect to the youth of that time. However the nineteen year old Prashanth hit the right chord with his exuberant youth and talent and became an instant success.

Prashanth never settled into any image trap as he experimented in love stories, action entertainers, comedy and even donned the role of a woman to perfection in 'Aanazhagan'.

Prashanth's new movie 'Andhagan' directed and produced by father Thiagarajan is gearing up for release soon. The film carries huge expecatations as it is the official remake of the sleeper hit Hindi film 'Andhadhun'. The recently released 'En Kadhal aka 'The Pianist' lyric video from the film has recieved record views and praise from all quarters.

'Andhagan' stars Prashanth and Priya Anand in the lead roles with the ensemble cast of Navarasa Nayagan Karthik, Simran, Yogi Babu, Vanitha Vijayakumar and Samuthirakani. Santhosh Narayanan is scoring the music and the film is all set to take a grand opening and box office run judging by the social media hype created by Prashanth fans.
