"Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond," a web series, has reportedly cast actor Prasanna in the difficult role of Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. The series will show what the Indian government did to get Wing Commander Abhinandan back after the Balakot airstrike. He was caught by the Pakistani army.
There were 44 Indian troops killed in the terrorist attack in 2019, and the airstrike on Balakot was a blow back. Reports say that Indian Air Force planes went into Pakistani airspace to shoot at enemy camps. During the mission, however, one of the Indian Air Force planes crashed into a Pakistani village. This caused the Pakistani forces to arrest Wing Commander Abhinandan.
Prasanna was also proud to play Abhinandan and talked about how much study and work went into making this web series. In a story that has never been told before, the series shows how scary it was for Abhinandan to work in harsh conditions at the border with Pakistan to keep secret military information safe.
Prasanna said that it was hard for the cast and team to work in sub-zero temperatures, but that is what made telling Abhinandan's story more real and honest.
On top of that, Prasanna talked about his contacts with people involved in the Balakot attack, which he described as both exciting and wise.
The documentary "Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond" gives fans a unique look at what happened between the airstrike on Balakot and what happened after it. The web series, which is only available on Jio Cinema in several languages, is meant to be both moving and educational for people in India.
